New Fangled Old Fashioned

Oak Aged Rye Scottish Ale

Great things happen when whiskey gets involved (despite what your lawyer might tell you). When not drinking beer on the farm, whiskey makes a fine substitute. So let’s combine them, shall we? Take a fine Scottish Ale, roasty, baked cookies, and a pleasant red, with a slight bite of rye added to the grain bill. Age it over oak for vanilla and oak flavors. Then finish it off with some Angostura bitters, some sweet orange peel, and some Templeton Rye whiskey. You get a sweet, boozy representation of a classic that Don Draper would be proud to drink. Complex, dense and a great way to start a story.

I should be sitting in a swanky lounge with hipsters drinking this. Will this make me grow a beard?

We should chat. Maybe over a beer sometime. But, for now, over the internet will have to do for now.
